Release
I love that this card is as bright as it is dark. I hope it unsettles you in the best way!
My Musings on this Card
We release in ways small and big. A deep sigh is a release, and so is a cleaned-out closet and setting a new boundary.
We release feelings, expectations, relationships, and jobs, waiting any longer and needing to know the answer.
The duality of life often requires us to let go so we can keep holding on to something integral or pick up some new adventure.
Most of all, while release includes events or moments of ritual - It is a lifelong practice that requires as much persistence as it does kindness.
A Quote for You to Consider:
“I’ve been learning about letting go.
How to do it without my claws scratching the surfaces.
I’ve been learning about wasting time.
And closing some doors.
Hoping to open more down the line.”
-Lyrics of Letting Go by Angie McMahon
For my Journalers:
What are you learning about letting go?
For my Action Seekers:
Design a 5-minute release ritual. (Could include music, movement, mantras, candles, etc.)
